Ms. Burks has a unique perspective to share with students, teachers, staff, coaches, counselors, principles, superintendents, and local and state boards of education because of the loss of her only child. Her sixteen-year-old daughter died by suicide due to bullying at school and cyberbullying. Ms. Burks assisted state legislators in writing and establishing Alabama’s 2018 legislation on antibullying and anti-cyberbullying for prekindergarten-12 schools. She can offer training programs to include:

• Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention
